Dubai Banks

Most international banks do have branches in Dubai to provide usual banking services, sending and receiving money can be made without difficulty. In Dubai there is no exchange control and the Dirham is convertible to all other currencies.

Banking hours are from 8.00am to 1.00pm, Saturday to Wednesday, some also open from 4.30–6.30pm. On Thursdays, some banks operate only till noon.

Money Exchange shops are open from 8.30am–1.00pm and afternoon from 4.30–8.30pm.

Currency

UAE currency is Dirham (Dh) which is divided into 100 fils. Mid-rate of approximately US$1= Dh3.67.

All major credit cards are generally accepted but some retailers offer better bargains for cash.
